INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, San Francisco, CA – September 8, 2004 – UWB chipsets andsolutions leader - Wisair announced the availability of the first industry compliant multi-band evaluation and development system, emonstrating the company’s capability to develop advanced solutions for UWB products that conform with most industry players. The Wisair EVT is based on the 501 RF transceiver chip, the industry’s first MB-OFDM device to be fully compliant with the Multi-Band OFDM Alliance (MBOA) physical layer chipset specifications.
Wisair’s MB-OFDM EVT demonstration at IDF will show a range of applications such as WirelessUSB (WUSB) and IP over UWB on data rates up to 100Mbps upgradeable to 480 Mbps. Wisair will also provide a complete set of documentation as well as APIs for product and application evaluation
and development purposes.
Wisair develops and markets MBOA standards based, high performance wireless communication chipset solutions, based on UWB technology. The company is an active Promoter Member in the Multi-Band OFDM Alliance Special Interest Group (MBOA-SIG), has been instrumental in the development of the MB-OFDM specifications. Wisair is also an active participant in the IEEE
standardization process and in the Wireless USB Promoter Group.
